Stand-up Comedy

I’ve been doing stand-up comedy for 6 years (since I was 16 years old) and have been able to perform pleasantly regularly, and with good crowds, considering I live in Springfield, Missouri. I have been lucky enough to open for comedians like Bo Burnham, Mike Birbiglia, Loni Love, Yakov Smirnoff, Pete Lee, Mission Improvable, and others (I have also emceed events featuring Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, Maria Bamford, and Broken Lizard).
Here is a brief history of my recorded stand-up comedy sets. I will try to keep this up to date. Newer videos will be at the top of the page and older videos will be at the bottom.

Emceeing an open mic night/comedy showcase at The Skinny Improv. I had just gotten back from a trip to Chicago and so I tell my stories of The Improv Capital. The jokes start at right about the 2:00 mark. (Summer 2010)

Part of my routine at a wine bar in Springfield, MO. (February 2010)

This was the second half of my set when I opened for Bo Burnham. Later, he went on and made fun of my name and encouraged women to date me. No women tried to date me because of my set that evening. But at least Bo tried. (January 2009)

One of the first “big comedians” I opened for, Bo Burnham. He’s an incredibly cool, funny, and tall guy. At this point, I am 19 and he is 18 and is already more rich than I will ever be. (January 2009)

This is the finals round of The Deadpan Comedy Fesival. I ended up winning. Pretty sure I got lucky. 18 years old. (October 2007)

This was a charity stand-up comedy competition called The Deadpan Comedy Festival, which took place at The Skinny Improv in Springfield, MO (I now do stand-up and improv regularly there). (October 2007)

This was my second time to ever do stand-up. It was during the awards ceremony of a speech and debate tournament when I was 17. I ended up winning the event. (February 2007)
